This summer, The Ohmies! are coming to the Falcon! This unforgettable cast of colorful characters will have your family singing, dancing, and laughing as the entire audience becomes part of the show! Kids and adults alike will delight in the hilarious fun as the playful Ohmies sing catchy world music, teach life lessons and demonstrate basic yoga for kids!

Our story follows Penny the Butterfly's predawn journey to surprise the sun. Along the way she and her butterfly friends encounter characters that help them learn essential life lessons-from taking time to smell the flowers to leaving The Worries behind. The Ohmies! is comprised of original music in various world styles, including African Percussion, Latin Salsa, Hip-Hop, Jamaican, and Traditional American Music with an Eastern Indian flair. So bring the kids, leave your worries behind, and catch the exciting new show that leaves audiences cheering and carefree-The Ohmies! (Recommended for ages 2 to 7.)

ORGANIC GARDENING Saturday, July 28

Presented by Alicia de Soto-Foley, a Master Gardener

Alicia de Soto teaches gardening at 5 schools in the West Hollywood area and the Eastside Boys & Girls Club in East LA, and gives seasonal garden talks at three Jewish Family Services senior housing developments. Alicia was a founding member of the Healthy School Food Coalition, a group of concerned LAUSD parents, students and community members who successfully lobbied the Los Angeles Unified School Board to remove sodas from LAUSD schools.

Alicia -- whose kitchen counters are currently overcrowded with homegrown tomatoes -- is the mother of a middle school student, a newly minted grandmother and a jewelry designer. You can see her designs at www.yxtabay.com.

WHAT IS COMPOST? Compost is a dark, crumbly, sweet, earthy-smelling form of decomposing organic matter made from food scraps and garden trimmings. See and touch the worm composting bins and finished soil known as "black gold".

Come see some really cool stuff that has been made new by recycling. Learn what can and cannot be recycled. See shirts, bags and carpeting made from plastic soda and water bottles. Check out the playground materials made from unwanted sneakers. What becomes of the materials recycling centers collect? Do you know what to do with your unwanted computers, TVs, cell phones, batteries or other electronics? We've got the information. Receive information, too, about worm and compost workshops and bins.

BONUS GIVEAWAY: Bring a plastic bottle to recycle (on these days only) and be entered to win a t-shirt made out of recycled plastic and recycled cotton, OR, a key chain made from a recycled bike chain! Winner will be drawn on each recycle day! Limit one entry per person.
