The Falcon Theatre is thrilled to present CHiPS the Musical, presented by the Troubadour Theater Company, a world premiere musical parody with original story and music written by Rick Batalla & Henry Phillips, and directed by Matt Walker. Do you crave some good, old-fashioned police work where men in overly tight uniforms dance, sing and catch the bad guys? Look no further!

Take a journey down the 405 Freeway circa the 1970s when highways were hopping and surface streets were for sissies - when you could get from Downtown to the Westside in 20 minutes, and not just in a Toyota. There you'll find those super-flashy stewards of safety and suave-ness, Ponch and John, in CHiPS the Musical. Rest assured, Ponch and John are still wearing their well-starched uniforms, packin’ the heat, and looking fine enough to cause a fender-bender while battling criminals of the worst kind: female eco-terrorists sporting roller skates and short shorts! The Boys on Bikes are Back…and this time, they're singing! For Troubie info visit www.Troubie.com

"...masters of the mashed-up musical parody...The 14 loony production numbers (under Eric Heinly's musical direction), neatly skewer the original series' generic, funk-flavored, adult-contemporary score along with its absurdly insipid storylines."

"Songs are witty, adult, and clever, choreography snappy, and the visual elements like the tricked up bicycles and the ever changing video background shots are hilarious."

"These guys bring new and obscenely funny meaning to being California Highway Patrolman. Thank Heavens!...The rockin', the dancin'...and the in-your-face comed is all here. It's nonstop fun that simply rocks..."

"CHiPS the Musical is hilarious and filled with tight pants, short shorts, roller skates and super flash! Batalla and Phillips have not missed an opportunity to make us laugh in their fun script and music."

"When it comes to sustained silliness, the Troubadour Theater Company sets the industry standard. 'CHiPS the Musical'...is a full-on laugh riot that equals or tops any other Troubie show that comes to mind...[it's a] fast-paced vehicle, which runs on high-octane laughter and never slows down."

"McCrary's rendition of 'Missed Opportunity' and Walker's detailing of his wife's postpartum death in 'Seven Mary Three' - including the onstage birth of triplets through the jaw-dropping Cirque du Soleil style acrobatics of cast member Caroline Gross - are near showstoppers...For long-time fans, this is a must-see."
